Valley Telecommunications is pleased to announce that local content will soon be available to Valley Video subscribers. Valley is currently in the testing phase of providing live coverage of the Napoleon (ND) Livestock Sale on Thursdays and the Herreid Livestock Sale on Fridays. This project is a joint effort of Valley Telecommunications and BEK Communications of Steele, ND. Valleys Plant Manager Darin LaCoursiere added, Valley is working hard to provide our members with local content that is pertinent to our rural local areas that will enhance the service that they receive from Valley. By providing this type of service, we are adding value to the Video product that we provide. The livestock sales for both barns are currently offered via the internet as a live webcast, but LaCoursiere added, The addition of the live video tv feed on our cable system is another avenue for our members to watch and assess the markets across two states.
Following the testing phase, the Livestock Sales may be viewed on the Valley Video Special Events Channel 290. If these broadcasts go well, we hope to offer additional local content for our members in the future, said LaCoursiere.
